Introduction: Chemical industry involves complex processes such as water and gas resource transfer, chemical reaction, phase change and separation. Green, automatic, and intelligent chemical processes are of great significance for ecological water and gas treatment and environmental protection. This session will focus on the novel developments in basic theories and innovative technologies such as new reaction catalysis, efficient separation and purification, and coupled treatment technologies, with a particular emphasis on the interdisciplinary and comprehensive research of the impact, optimization, and regulation in this field on the ecological environment.
