Beihai Park
The formation and development of Beihai went through several dynasties of the Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, carrying nearly a thousand-year of Chinese history and culture. It has formed the style of gardening art represented by the royal gardens, which is a masterpiece that unites the great achievements of gardening culture and art of all generations. Beihai is the oldest and most complete imperial palace so far preserved in China, with a unique style of gardening art, and is one of the most precious human cultural heritage and the refinement of ancient gardens in China.
The total area of Beihai is 1,063 mu, with the water surface accounting for 583 mu and the land surface accounting for 480 mu. Here the water is open and the lake reflects the shadow of the tower.
